Though I have been travelling to the nooks and corners of India since the age of one, I got interested in bird photography during my initial graduation years. Since then I have never looked back and nature photography has become an integral part of my travels. Nowadays most of my travels are in search of birds and mammals as I continue to explore the vastness of the Indian forests. Being from West Bengal, which has the highest avian diversity in India, has enabled me to regularly explore all kinds of habitats starting from mountains, evergreen forests, arid plains, green river basins, sea coasts, mangroves, etc.
"Abhishek Das Photography" represents my journey with nature over the last decade and that which still continues. I have tried to comparmentalize my photographic and videographic collection into categories as Birds, Mammals, Landscapes and Macro. Sometimes I like to use brush and pens to illustrate some of my photographs and a few of those are kept in the Illustrations section.
